Birth Video

Our good friend Donny is an amazing videographer. When we found out we were pregnant we asked him if he would be willing to come and document the birth of our child. He is a pilot and so we knew he might be gone when we delivered but fortunately he was home when little Eliza decided to come and make her debut!!

Enjoy!

My Prego Belly–Week 37

These are the last of the prego belly pics. We have a few more on a roll of film that still needs to be developed including pics the day I went into labor. These were shot on John’s digital camera in our living room. My Prego Belly: Hasselblad Edition – Week 34

John’s dad let him borrow his old Hasselblad camera. The following images were shot using a Hasselblad 500C with an 80mm f/2.8 lens.  It was shot on a roll of B&W TMAX 400 C-41 film that expired in 1999!

A pic of John’s dad’s original Hasselblad with the original case.

My Prego Belly–Weeks 34 - 36

Well, I am no longer Prego and my belly is gone. But I thought I would post the last of the prego pics and then the Eliza posts can take over the blog. And I will not apologize for turning this blog into an Eliza fan page. I’m so in love with this little girl I can’t even begin to explain!!

All images below were shot on John’s beloved 35mm Contax RTS II camera using some expired (2006) Kodak Portra 800.  And no post processing!

Drumroll Please…

After 17 hours of labor, our precious baby girl has finally arrived.  Emily is doing great and so is our baby girl.  Even though I’m big fainter, I had absolutely no problems helping with the delivery and cutting the umbilical cord, it was amazing!!  During the course of the entire pregnancy, we have found it difficult to come up with a name.   We have batted around names for awhile now and have spent the past 23 hours trying to figure out what to call her.  So after much debate and contemplation we have finally given our daughter a name.  Emily and I are so proud to present to my blogging world:

Here are some images from her first 24 hours of life!!!!  Hope nobody minds, but this will probably not be the last time I blog photos of Eliza. I anticipate there will be about a bajillion more photos of her during her first year.Eliza-19
